    Motoring things to do in Marbella

    The next few days sees some great motoring action taking place in the Marbella area.  Petrol heads and motor racing enthusiasts have a great choice of activities in the coming week.Classic Car and Bike Show in Malaga

    The Classic Car and Bike Show in Malaga

    The Palacio de Ferias y Congresos in Malaga (the really modern building on the side of the main MA20 motorway which passes the airport next to the main Malaga Feria Ground) is hosting the Retro Auto & Moto Málaga, Salón del Vehículo Clásico.  Or as we know it a Classic Motor and Motorcycle Show.  This takes place from Friday 31st January 2015 until Sunday 1st February 2015.

    A great place to get nostalgic and take in the sights and sounds of some of the best motors of the past.  I will be going along to take a look!

    Here are the opening times and prices:

    Friday 30th from 16:00 to 21:00

    Saturday 31st from 10:00 to 21:00 

    Sunday 1st  from 10:00 to 20:00


    Day entry €8,00

    For 2-3 days €12,00

    Visitors in Classic cars**: €4,00

    * Kid up to 10 free.

    F1 2015 Season Testing at JerezJerez 1 Testing each winter

    The usual start session for the 2015 Formula 1 season will be taking place with most the major teams testing their new cars for the upcoming season at the Jerez de la Frontera Circuit, just a few hours’ drive from Marbella. 

    This is a great opportunity to see and hear the new cars as their star drivers put them through their paces at the excellent Jerez Circuit.  And it is sually nice and sunny and a good deal cheaper than paying to watch a race!

    The four-day test takes place from 1st to 4th February. 

    Who will be driving and when?  The below list shows the drivers expected to be out on track each day 

    Mercedes: Nico Rosberg (Sunday, Tuesday), Lewis Hamilton (Monday, Wednesday) 

    Red Bull: Daniel Ricciardo (TBA), Daniil Kvyat (TBA) 

    Williams: Valtteri Bottas (Sunday, Monday), Felipe Massa (Tuesday, Wednesday) 

    Ferrari: Sebastian Vettel (TBA), Kimi Raikkonen (TBA) 

    McLaren: Fernando Alonso (Sunday, Tuesday), Jenson Button (Monday, Wednesday) 

    Force India: Nico Hulkenberg (TBA), Sergio Perez (TBA)* 

    Lotus: Romain Grosjean (TBA), Pastor Maldonado (TBA) 

    Sauber: Marcus Ericsson (Sunday, Wednesday), Felipe Nasr (Monday, Tuesday) 

    Toro Rosso: Carlos Sainz Jr (Sunday, Tuesday), Max Verstappen (Monday, Wednesday)
